back on topic - prices SEEM to be hardening but it would be interesting to see exactly what people are paying - always a tricky car to 'value' given so many people seem to expect to pay SUB£500 for any sort of car on here and on other forums.

Re the Karmann badge thing - see the first three photos on my A20 GTX project thread - http://www.sciroccoregisterforum.co.uk/ ... f=19&t=334
I was a Karmann badge freak back in 1990 when this car was originally tweeked and featured in VW Audi Car Oct 90 issue - it's not a surprise if other people had the same idea at the time. Rest assured - there was never an official Karmann Edition Mk2 Scirocco Scala.

And Rich - if you want to sell the car or market test values stick it in the for sale section.

In my experiance prices are on the rise,

I've had sciroccos since I was 17 (i'm 28) the first one was a 1600gt and cost me 110quid.
The last one I bought 92 gt2 just at the end of the year there cost 9 times that, to be fair i wanted the best one i could find, and it is almost mint condition,
Had plenty of choice and found there was a huge price difference depending on the condition of the car not so much on age or model, exept gtx and storm models were always that little bit more.

I wouldn't expect to find an excellent condition car for less than 1000 these days.
