Re: Rotisserie for Mk2

Thanks, that was my thinking too. I've taken the gamble and ordered one - I figure it should be fairly simple to modify the brackets if they are different. I'll feedback back when I get it assembled.

Rotisserie for Mk2

Hi Guys, I'm considering buying a Rollover rotisserie for my mk2 project. Does anyone have any experience with these? The ones I'm looking at are available with stock brackets to fit mk1 golfs and mk1 Sciroccos - would either of these be a direct fit for the mk2? I believe they bolt up to the ...

Re: mk2 Fuel Tank Fixings

I hope they do... I was under the impression that the tanks are the same as on a mk1 golf. Mines a later larger tank version (spacesaver spare wheel) so was thinking a 55ltr golf Cabriolet tank would fit- as your right, scirocco ones aren't listed anywhere. Can anyone confirm these are compatible?

Re: mk2 Fuel Tank Fixings

Those are the ones :good: Realistically I think mine would probably clean up ok with a blast and powdercoat. Thought it was worth an ask though in-case they were available for a few quid and to save me the trip to the painters.

Re: mk2 Fuel Tank Fixings

Thanks for the replys. I know mk2 golfs and a few other VWs use the strap style fixings but on my mk2 rocco at least Its held on by small D shaped plates that bolt to the body and overlap the flat edges of the tank. I will try and get some pics up tonight if i get the chance.

mk2 Fuel Tank Fixings

I'm planning on getting a new petrol tank from gsf this coming weekend and was wondering about the fixing plates that bolt the tank to the body. mine are pretty crusty - as was the tank so seems a shame to bolt these back on to the fresh tank. Anyone know if these are available new anywhere? I'm ...

Re: problem fitting wishbones

thanks, it was the lip causing the problems but just wanted to check on here that they weren't obviously the wrong wishbones before i took a file to it. Shaved a few mm off and seems like it will fit fine now

problem fitting wishbones

I got a set of wishbones off ebay last month and have just got round to having a stab at fitting them. After taking the old ones off I noticed that the new ones have a much larger lip around the bushing and from what I can tell, don't look like there going to fit. I just wanted to check with you ...
