Not sure what these are called, but during the refurb of my radiator cowl had to cut them off and was thinking "I sure VW will still stock em" famous last words, thres non in the UK with VAG!!!! and GSF and Eurocarparts dont stock em, what I'm talking about-
so does anyone know where I can get them from?
or what there called so I can do the usual ebay search?
They basically help the flow of air into the radiator.
The flaps open as you drive along the road and increase the air flow through the radiator thus keeping the water cooler.
If they were not there all the air going through the radiator would then have to pass out the opening where the fan is situated.
Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Arnt they there to act as a flexible door/gate type of thing, basically to:
open when you drive - letting all air pass through your fan cowling
close when the fan kicks in - drawing more air through the rad. also blocking out some engine bay heat.
