I might have some you can have that are in working order from an old cowling if you want, or do you only want shiny new ones?

They basically help the flow of air into the radiator.
The flaps open as you drive along the road and increase the air flow through the radiator thus keeping the water cooler.
If they were not there all the air going through the radiator would then have to pass out the opening where the fan is situated.
Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Arnt they there to act as a flexible door/gate type of thing, basically to:
open when you drive - letting all air pass through your fan cowling
close when the fan kicks in - drawing more air through the rad. also blocking out some engine bay heat.

go back in there, and point to their sign. if they still claim they can't get them, it's time to sue!
