Under-bonnet sound deadening

Post by SCOTMCDOT »

Did someone post something about the best way to get off the glue under the sound deadening?

I have looked and cant find it, but am sure i read it. Have just taken mine off, and for some reason the heat gun seems reluctant to peel it off. Whats the best way in your opinion before i destroy the car with some chemicals.

Ta,

Scotty

Did this one mine last weekend

found white spirit and a lot of elbow grease and blue roll did the trick, put the white spirit into an old spray bottle

if you are leaving the bonnet attached remeber to pad the rain gutter area under the screen with tissue/blue roll as the white spirit will get everywhere! and its rather flammable!
