That's right, I've seen the error of my ways and removed the fog lights.

Also made a few new additions:

Flowers and mushroom.

Out of curiosity, what do you guys do with the wires/connectors once you've taken the lights off? I just wrapped the ends in insulation tape and taped the loose wire to something else to stop it rattling around.

I toyed with the idea of leaving the lamps attached under the bonnet to use as spotlights for when I take photos, but decided that I would never use them. I will get a photo of the Scirocco with the fog lights in the engine bay, shining out through the grill though. Might look good, might look shat. One way to find out!

loving the cross! had a big one on each door of my old mk3 golf years ago. Did seem to speed up pensioners at zebra crossings.

It was meant to be a cheep run around till I finished the Type 1, Now I have 2 projects and an obsession

Looks cracking. Never liked the fog lamps, always seemed like a really rushed afterthought. The cross looks ace, really good touch.

if you follow the fog light wiring back, there is a connector somewhere on the chassis rails (i think) so you can remove about a foot of wiring but unplugging it

I love these yellow ones that were on the car when i bought it.
Image
Ive tidied them up a bit since but I want to buy some more, struggling to find where they came from though. Theyr Valeo branded so I'm assuming an old Peugeot.

I think Dan (the guy you got it from) used yellow stain glass paint.
