Partial loom - rear of engine bay

I've been trying to figure out why my AAV isn't closing despite a replacement, and I've traced it back to being the cable that comes back from three two-pin connectors; looking at the Haynes, it looks like the AAV, the fifth injector, and the idle boost. There's also what looks like a connection on the exhaust manifold. Basically one of the wires has snapped, and it's resulted in no feed to any of these connections.

I'm currently trying to figure out how to replace it - I'm probably going to reroute it, since it loops over the exhaust manifold (seems like a ridiculous place to route electrical wiring). Question is, is there a direct replacement for this section available through the dealers or from a parts manufacturer? I don't really want to have to fabricate everything from scratch.

You need either a Junior Timer Housing or Junior Power Timer Housing - female two pin, plus the associated terminals - see here

Clean wires, crimp on new terminals, slot into housing and then re-connect to AAV. Job done.

Cheers for that - How would you recommend extending the wire from where it's snapped?

How far back from the plug has it snapped? Normally it corrodes where the terminal is crimped on and there is enough length left to crimp on the new terminals and the plug to still reach the AAV.

If the wire has broken further back then I would solder on a new longer length of wire.

Yeah, it's further back. To be honest, the wire is brittle as hell, so I might end up rewiring the lot and heatwrapping it to protect it. Is it normal for it to rest on the manifold?

No, it should be clipped along the bulkhead.

That would probably explain why it's so brittle then. Bit of work for the weekend...

You can still buy the plugs from the dealer, I replaced the one on the Scala.
