Hi,
I have a 1.8 gt2 (webber carb). The flexi pipe from the warm air pick up on the manifold, than goes to the air box pipe is missing. The gap is only a few cm but i could do with knowing firstly if i need it and why and where i can get hold of one

Its there to stop carb freeze during the colder months. you do need it really, especially at this time of year.
You can get that sort of corigated flexi pipe from general motor stores, you might even find it in B&Q.
