Sounds like you spoke to a very unhelpful parts department, ring another mate!

Join VAGCAT.com and you can look them up yourself. It's free, and pretty accurate.

Your VW dealer sounds like a muppet. They're supposed to look up the part numbers for you to check. Is there another one local to you?

Is your engine modified? A 4 branch is a waste of time on a stock engine. If you really want one, keep your eyes peeled for a 2nd hand supersprint manifold in the classifieds. They do come up from time to time. They're by far the best system available, and most likely to give you a real power gain, without losing mid-range.
