fitting a dx head to an ex block

Post by Rocco Ben »

There was a thread on a while back about fitting a dx head to an ex block. I was wondering if the exhaust and inlet from the ex would still fit? And run on carb?

Thanks for any help :)
Ben

Yep and yep

You will need to block up the injector holes on the back of the head tho. Alex (risocco) has done this to his engine if i remember

I saw a thread somewhere about this (caddy with a dx and twin 40's springs to mind for some reason lol)... I think he put 1p pieces under the injector collars in the head to block them off.
Did that dizzy solve your problems Ben?

Is there a good reason to use a carb on the DX head ?

I would be getting the injection kit of bits and putting them on = more power and more MPG - unless you are planning twin 40's or similar of course.

Just my two pence worth ;)
