started to get the rocco ready for its fresh 2.0 engine has an amazing spec for very little money cheers jay(the older bro) its a 2.e engine was completly striped and parts washed new oil pump, water pump alternater 6 rib 1ect engine was fitted with marla motorsport crank bearings acl rack big end bearings bores were reholmed new pistons rings etc block painted yellow i was fitting it 2day when i looked in the brothers garage i saw his spare g60 inlet we decided to mod it to take 5th injector and use the mk2 gti digi throttle bodie also modded ie put the throttle lickage off rocco 1. the golf 1 is amazinly larger the head is runing a newman 268 cam with blue vernier pully i need to finish getting this all put 2gether in the car then will post up and let people now how it gose gotta run it in for 1000miles first tho :-(

p.s how much of a ball ache trying to leave the box in when removing the engine lol all gd now tho

im just hoping it gose as gd as the engine looks just gotta sit at up 2 3000rpm for first 1000miles lol

enings now fitted feel a mega difference even tho i can only rev to 3000 for my fist 1000miles that g60 inlet and gti throttle body have made a massive difference carnt wait to run the engine in currently only dune 16miles lol 984 left to go would recomend this converstion 2 any1

hi mate is this the same bottom end as in the mk3 golf gti? i have bought a 2.0 agg engine for my mk2 golf gti and im wondering if you had to use the conversion kit from tsr for the dizzy an breathers cheers si

alright m8 mine was the 2e engine early mk3 gti but agg would be the same i imagaine i had to use dizzy ring adapter and fitted the 2.0 cog on to the 1.8 dizzy... then i used a oil catch can for the breathers was a very simple drop and made a lot of difference just carnt wait to run it in now

Cheers sounds like the same as mine im gonna get the blancs for the breathers aswell should go like hell in a scirocco lol

feels like its gonna pull like shit off a stick lol carnt wait to open it up now ive now only done 40miles lol its got a 268 newman cam, verier pully, g60inlet, gti throttle bodie was suprisingly large compared to a rocco 1, arp conrod bolts, audi/vw race spec big end bearings, vw/audi group main bearing and a few other bits

sounds awsome, my mk2' golfs had work done on the head already and its running 128bhp @5500rpm so with the added torque of the 2 liter it should go well hopefully

sweet m8 my rocco was only at 121bhp at 5500rpm b4 the 2.0 and the cam they really do feel as if they pull well i just wish i could open it up already lol

sould go really well, i was just wondering what cam belt covers you used, did you use the mk3 bottom cover and the scirocco top cheers simon

i havent got any on ther m8 as ime running an anidised blue vernier pully i think the rocco 1 my be to short as the belt is longer on a 2.0 cheers rob

sounds like i need to use the mk3 botton and the mk2 top covers the as imusing the mk2 pb head cheers si

probley m8. i think the head is the same on either 1.8 or 2.0 tbh so u could use the full 2.0 cam cover cheers rob

Hmm ill have to have a good look as i thought the mk3 head was taller but i might be wrong also if i have to use the mk3 bottom ill have to get a new 1 cuz i broke the bugger stripping down the engine lol :diablo:
