For the price Toyo tyres are good value. I've been using them for a few years now. To me they seem to strike a good balance of grip and durability.

In that size they're about £30 a corner.

It's gonna be a good summer.

Unfortunately I think you'll find that's actually per tyre, mate. If you add them to the basket they check out at twice the price; i.e. two tyres.

I'd also say Toyo too. Most of the time I've come across them they've been 45 inc fitting which is fair enough. Falken are also pretty good, around the same price. I was happy with performance.

I would recommend Continentals, they were voted the best tyre last year by Auto Express. I have these on my Audi, Sport Contacts 3, and I have got 22,000 miles so far and still have 4mm of tread on them, these replaced Dunlops which needed changing at 20,000 miles. Shop around your local dealers, get the best price then ask Kwik Fit to beat it, thats what I did and got all 4 of mine for £470 fitted, balanced etc and mine are 235/40/18's!!!

For safety and performance, get Yokohamas. They're mega sticky and perform well in the wet too. Bit dearer but well worth the extra few quid. Best value high-end tyre. Toyos are classed as mid range.

Tornado GTII: Koni, Flo-flex, Girling, Weber, K&N, Powerflow, Goodridge, ASA, Yokohama... to fit: stainless 4 branch.

if you have locking wheel nuts, make sure the tyre fitters don't use a windy gun on them. getting fed up with cutting ocking nuts off that have been cabbaged by cack handed lazy tyre fitters

Get the T1-Rs if your getting Toyo's, heard mixed reports about the PX4's not being quite as good, grip or wear wise.

Only thing I will say is mine's on Pirelli P6000's. Bad choice by the previous owner, don't do it

Well i called my local performance tyre place this morning.Have decided to go for the Toyo`s T1-RS Inc fit, valve, balance etc it`s coming out at £102.So not too bad really, will let you know what i think, after i have got some miles in,cheers for all the input peeps..
Oh and yeah,i had Pirelli fitted when i bought the car,it had been stood for a few months, then another 3 years, before I got it on the road, they were hard, and perished, and they were terrible, does not sound like they are much better even when new though

Oh my word !!!
I have always been a budget tyre kinda guy,not any more,my word these tyres a good, can see them getting better as i scrub them up a bit,but they are sticking like glue, and urging me to go into the bends even quicker, thought my car handled well with the Yoko`s on,but this is just unreal, only criticism is that the tyre wall is a little bit more flexible than the Yoko`s,but i will get used to that.Cheers for that peeps....
