Rocco Slammed, matt black and vinyled.......

Post by monsween »

Well where to start :)

O.........K....... So this is what happens when you take a cheap, yet rather cool, runaround and let the Scottish at it....

The bonnet was sprayed a few weeks back with blackboard paint, because lifes too short not to do it!

But first a Scottish cuppa before the work begins-

job 1 - slammage... off with the old (the angle grinder tells it's own tale..)

Image

and on with the new.. ebay jobbies, but there bound to be better than the old, which can only be described as.. made of jelly..

Image

Image

jobs a good 'un..

Image

Now this was all we had planned for today, but since we still had time to kill we thought we'd get the roof done and sprayed matt black, it was always on the cards as the paint was not just pink instead of red.. it was basically white!

Job 2- matt black roof-

Image

then Marc spied something...

Image

uh-oh

Image

it was time to deviate a plan......

Image

it was decepticon time!!! very random i know.. but the urge was too big to resist!

What's special about a Scottish cuppa? Is it deep-fried?

That's a rum collection of old bangers you've got there

Glad you boys like it, i was tempted to sell the rocco a few weeks ago but this has just re-lit the enjoyment factor.

I was a little aprehensive about putting it up as thought i may get slayed for ruining it. To me its a bit of fun :)

One problem is its now lower than the supra, so much for a daily ;)

Those coilies hottuning ones? Bought ones that looked identical off ebay :D And had the identical seized bolt issue. Great fun to cut off arent they!

Mines also slammed, I dont actually have much of a problem with mine scraping, worst was nearly getting stuck getting onto a ferry. Very rarely have a problem with speed bumps etc.. its perfect for a daily!

...go lower.... :yup:

Although i've found with mine, at the front especially, if i was to go any lower i officially run out of camber adjustment, and the wheels would rub against the spring. Currently im running it with the camber dialled out as much as possible, and i've got about 8mm clearance.
