16v Four-Branch

Post by Chris »

Will a 16v four branch manifold from a Mk2 Golf 16v fit onto a Mk2 Scirocco 16v? Both are KR engines, the Golf is being broken for parts and the 16v is nearly ready to go into the Rocco

...unless someone says that it won't fit in the space?

A Mk2 16v GOLF exhaust will NOT fit a Scirocco.

pretty much.
you can use a mk2 golf exhause manifold, but you'll have to make a custom downpipe.
I have just been asking about this on C-GTI, below is the difference between the rocco16v exhaust manifold and the Golf 16v one. one on the right is from the rocco and is more central.

here is a pic of an exhaust downpipe that was made using a mix of mk1/2 bits.

I cant understand why a company doesnt make downpipes to suit the golf 16v manifold for a rocco/mk1 golf.. there is a big market for it i think. Feeling a group buy coming on?!? lol
