post '79 calipers will usually be the same as the mk2 (inscribed with "VW II")

Also: Your GT probably has solid brake discs and thicker pads, wheras GTi uses vented discs and slimmer pads.

i have vented disc on the front plus the slim pads so should be ok just wanted to know if there would be better :hugegrin:
