fuel tank leak

Post by lukey »

i went to fill up my roccco last night befor the budget pushes the fuel prices up :mafia: to find that once it was full and i got it home , it decided to leak all over my drive :dash: its leaking from the lip around the tank on the side nearest the drivers side , is this a common problem? and if so can it be fixed or is it a new tank job, if so do any of the golfs share the same tanks :crying:

if it's leaking from the seam of the tank or a hole (even a small one) then you need a new one. You can get them from gsf. The other ways it could leak are either the seal where the filler neck attaches, or the seal in the inspection hole at the top of the tank ( under the rear seat).
