injector hole
I've been puzzling over why one of my injectors won't stay in and I've discovered that the bit it pushes into is broken. Does that mean a wholenew manifold or are they removable?
Re: injector hole
They screw in to the manifold. You need a largish hex key to unscrew them. There are two types, so you will need to get the old one out to show the dealer to make sure you get the right one

Re: injector hole
13mm allen key I think. You might have more luck finding a half inch one, which will just about do, or weld a 13mm nut onto a long bolt.

Re: injector hole
Well ive just had an interesting day with this one.
Mike - Im gonna find a goose and post it to you so you can chase it
A 13mm allan key does not exist anywhere i tried, including blagging around local garages i know.
So i got a 13mm bolt with two bolts on the end and tried that, still no joy
Spoke to VW and they said that the part for my chassis number was unavailable but he had 5 from the earlier ones that i could have for free.
Got them home and had a look and its a 12mm allan key. LOL
Took out the easiest one to get to no problems and it was exactly the same so i swapped it over as it was cracked anyway.
Then tried to get the broken one out and the bloody thing has rounded off!!!
So looks like I'm gonna have to take the manifold off anyway....
Damn

Re: injector hole
13mm on all of mine (brass ones), which is probably why yours rounded off.. Golf digifant seats use a smaller key (can't remember if they're 10 or 12mm hex)dozzum wrote:Well ive just had an interesting day with this one.

Re: injector hole
I'm not sure if that's long enough to fit down inside the injector seat.
