Anyway starts first time, great. Left her running for a bit then started to struggle....ahhh low fuel. So off to garage for a can of juice. Put it in, tried to start, no chance..... So looks like I dragged some shit through.

Take your fuel floater / sender out of the tank, it is located under the rear seat. At the bottom of this unit is a small rubber filter with tiny holes. If there is any dirt in your tank it will cut the fuel. Cut the small rubber filter off with a knife. Make sure a new paper fuel filter is installed under the bonnet before you proceed, just before the fuel diffuser. This will allow suction fron the tank, you can see if fuels getting drawn from the tank, plus any crap in the tank will be sucked up and will rest in the paper filler. These are pretty cheap from GSF. If that does not work, start going down the route, fuel diffuser, pump ect. I'm not a mechanic but it worked for me after several months of engine running fine then stalling for no reason. Hoper this helps, regards.
Right, I've had the fuel lift pump out of the tank and the filter/strainer is clean. Removed the main filter in engine bay and clean fuel one end, dirty stinky stuff at other. Blew through the filter almost nothing getting through, replaced that. Fuel is getting to this filter so I can now expect it to be blocked injectors.
So the car is stuck another week till my mate can come round and try to sort it......Oh an lost the keys to the garage I have just rented, only had keys since Sunday. What a big clown feet week....
Going to try and get my injectors out tomorrow to see if any blocked.
As I've not done this before any tips?? Look around a seems good advice to WD40 first and let it soak before tying to pull. Should I try got get new seals before I take the injectors out so can replace them??
Should I try to get them out of the hoses to clean??
Any advise appreciated before I manage to do more damage..........
Not a bad idea to soak the seals in oil before attempting removal as they can sometimes be quite stuck. You'd want new seals as well for re-assembly.
You do know that you can't just "clean" the injectors though? You'll need an ultra sonic bath for that. You can test them in a jar though to see what their spray pattern is like.
The fuel filter is a charcoal one I think, so you shouldn't be able to blow through it anyway, you said that clean fuel was flowing from one end (to the engine I presume) so just replace it anyway. If the fuel pickup in the tank was clean then I would ignore possible dirt in the fuel and concentrate on why the engine isn't running. Check the fuel pumps, start with the fuse and relay. Check for 12v at the pumps. You could take the return hose off the metering head to check for fuel flow. Take it from there...
Thanks for the info mate. Think I will leave the injectors for now then, and poss wait till my mate with more knowledge can come over. I replaced the fuel pump relay a few months back when I got the car, and I can hear it priming when ignition is switched on. So frustratin as it was running fine till i took my eye of it on Monday night.......Well sick, just want it running now!!!! ha ha
