This installation uses your original (OEM) window regulators, and the motors from any VW from the "Caddy" era It took me about an hour to suss out the first regulator, the second one took less than 10 minutes.
All pics are of the UK passenger mechanism.
1. Drill out the 4 rivets holding the two halves of the regulator gear assy to the rail.

#2. Once the rivet afair is drilled out the regulator gear assy will seperate and will look something like this

3. Now on the rail there are 2 raised locating parts, these will have to be filed down as they donot match with the motor gear mechanism.
File these nibs down

4. Motors unbolted from their original regulator (in this case Scirocco), but any worm driven (not cable) VW motor will do

5. Next thing is to remove the gear mechanism from the Scirocco (donor) buy drilling out the 4 rivets in the same manor as before

6.Once drilled out you will be left with the two halves of the mech and the gear.

7. Now its time to offer up the electric motor gear to your original caddy regulator.

8. One side of the new gear assy needs to be welded to the regulator rail (this performs the same task as the locating tabs we filled down earlier).
Tack weld is all thats needed


9. Now with fresh grease it can be re-assembled with M6 nuts & bolt (unless you prefer to weld)

10. Now the motor can be bolted to the braket (depending on the doner vehicle, you may have to drill holes in the bracket to mount the motor in a suitable postion within the door confines

11. Your complete assy should now look something like this,, the motor sits up just under the quarter/vent window so its out of the way of everything
