hey up peeps
as anyone ever took the main shaft out of the gearbox without taking the gearbox off been told just take the plate off the end why the release bearing is and it just pulls out i think its sticking the end dont know whats its called sometime the clutch slips at about 3 to 4 thosands revs its had a new clutch and the gearbox recon clutch about 1 year ago only done 10,000 miles and gearbox about 9mths ago
any help anyone please

Mainshaft ?
The bit your talking about is the clutch push rod. Easy enough to take out but cant see that it would be sticking and cousing the clutch to see, but you never know.

yeah the vw specialist said at the end of the push rod the is a plugler that goes in and out he said that could be sticking and not releasing the clutch is this likley
