Sorted out rear foglights...

Post by Joe87 »

...After a slightly worrying discovery. The previous owner had installed an extra switch for the rear foglights - which I assumed was due to the original switch being broken and them being unable to find a replacement. However, after buying a new one (kindly provided by walkinginperu) and installing it I still had the same problem. After a bit of investigation I found that the rear fogs had been re-wired on their own circuit, without a fuse. I checked the fusebox, and lo and behold the rear fog fuse was missing, so after replacing it and re-wiring the fogs to their original circuit everything worked perfectly.

So the previous owner had gone to the trouble of installing a new circuit instead of simply replacing the fuse, essentially replacing the fuse with a high current switch. Hmmmm...

Glad the switch arrived safely! How long did it take the royal mail to get it to you?
