What clutch???

Post by dozzum »

I'm replacing the clutch in my GTi and wanted to know what clutches you have all used and what your experience of them was.
Ive found the following prices

black diamond £126
Sachs £102
Quinton Hazel £57
LUK £40

LUK repset clutch every time. when i was an apprentice we used o fit them to our troopers. they'd do 100k+ no problem towing a 3.5 ton trailer

i've had 3 bad QH clutches, i really don't rate any of their stuff or their customer service. apparently when my clutch failed in under 500 miles it couldn't possibly be their fault

I'll second that. LUK all the way, did mine a few thousand ago. Use the car as a daily driver and have so much more fun... and response!

Got a few luk ones and always good. I dont see the point in paying big money for a clutch unless you have about double the power
