A few years ago i saw our cat jump onto the recently painted, nicely polished sloped bonnet of my old GT6.

The emphasis in that sentence is on the 'nicely polished' part.

The cat slipped on the lovely shiny surface i had spent far too long buffing to a shiny slippery mirror, started plummeting down the bonnet and stuck its claws in making big scratches all the way down.

Luckily it still had its wits about it after it had landed on the floor to get out of the way of my foot. Once i had calmed down a bit and realised, it was not (completely) the cats fault, after all it was falling, I let it in the house.

I was mucking about in the car yesterday. Finished what I was doing, closed the door and went for a quick spin. 400 yards down the road I stuck the stereo on and Mr De La Rocha told me he wasn't going to do as I told him. Charlie, the smaller of the cats came out from behind the passenger seat at this point.
Charlie is not a great passenger. She also doesn't appear to be a fan of Rage Against the Machine

ow!!!! careful there!!! i had the same problem years ago with next doors cat jumping all over my rs turbo at the time, and it made a right mess!! scratches all over the place!! if it happened with my scirocco, well, i dont know if i can be held account to my actions!! lol.

If i was a cat id sleep on the spoiler of a scirocco, in fact with a few to many in me it would be a good place to pass out

I have the same problem with the neighbours cat. Whenever I park the car up after the daily commute I keep finding the cat soaking up the heat through the bonnet. Between cats and seagulls I'm surprised I have any paint left. Gr.

A friend of mine had a problem with a peacock for a while, it kept jumping on his house roof and then started jumping on his car roof. and those buggers have quite large claws so it started making a mess, it wasn't too bad thought till his dad bought a 1 year old M5, then his dad got worried so called all manner of people, and apparently there seemed to be nobody who would sort it out.
Fortunately it eventually just stopped coming round his area. We all think his dad went out with a shotgun but there's no proof

My Mk2 Polo parked up in drive for a good while..........you wanna see mess roof left in with scratches, only expanation is neighbours cat jumping off wall.............. also takes a liking to walking into my garage and all over the beetle with dusty paws
