leak into passenger footwell

Post by nimac »

Hello All

I have a mk2 GTX. When i bought the car it had a leak into the driver and passenger footwell but i wasnt too bothered as i thought it could be easily fixable.

I did the usual, clear out the sunroof drains etc... but no luck, then i took out as much of the dash as i could, had a look around but still no luck, the leak into the driver side stopped after this but the passenger side is still getting wet.

Anybody have any thoughts.

Cheers.

Check your heater matrix mate, it is on the passenger side, quite awkward but an easy fix.

I believe this should help, if not solve the problem.

Hiya.
Mine did this years ago - it was indeed the heater matrix, replaced the seal inbetween it and the body, right as rain since.
