Couple of issues

I've been working hard on getting my Rocco back on the road. I've hit a couple of snags however, both to do with thing seizing up.

First of all I've been replacing the flexis on the brakes with braided. Fronts went on lovely but the rears just won't undo . I thought of trying some crows feet on the journals, but I was wondering how much difference they actually make on the rear drums?

Second prob is the fact that I want to change the suspension to give her a bit of a lower stance, but I can't even get the nuts off! Are replacement bolt easily available if I take the grinder or saw to them?

When I did the rear flexi's on mine I dropped the back axle as I couldn't get very good access to the off-side one. I also used plenty of wd40 a few days before I took them off. You might need to use a persuader (hammer) on the pipe spanner, however you run the risk of damaging brake pipes if you're not careful.

Which bolts are you having problems with - is it the rear lower ones as they rust up and there's pretty much no chance of getting the bolt out. They sometimes ned to be cut off. I think I bought new bolts the same time I did my shocks.

It's both the lower bolts on he back, but also the front bolts where he shock connects to the hub/spindle.

The rears will probably need to be cut off. For the fronts, give the bolts and housing a few knocks with a hammer, soak in WD-40 for a while and try again. I think mine were pretty tight the first time I took the struts off but I've never heard of them completely seizing up like the rears. I remember having to use lots of WD-40 and leavering to get the strut to seperate from the carrier once the bolts were tapped out..
