hi
i'm looking at a couple of sciroccos to buy and one of them is cheap as chips but has some running problems. apparently it runs fine when cold, but when it warms up, the engine cuts out and is starved of fuel from the injection system. apparently the fuel filler is new and the tank has been cleared of any crap etc. compression is all good too, and fuel pump is fairly new along with lines etc.
just wondering if anyone has any idea what the problem could be and whether it's worth a punt if it saves me a few hundred on buying the car? it's quite high milage too, around 200k, so a bit concerned about that. did have a head rebuild a couple of years ago though.
is it worth the risk etc?!

Re: injection problems
Could be a number of things. But with the k-jet it's all quite simple.
First off get a new fuel pump relay and see what happends, they can get hot and start breaking down.
