HELP!! Where can I get hold of these clips? (the black ones in the photos) The white ones are to small, the red ones are the right size but they seem to not be high enough to hold the trim on.
I'm trying to fix on the metal trim around the rear side windows. I managed to catch some of the pins when I took them off of the respray.

Try http://www.bresco.com they advertise in the back of Practical Classics and sell all kinds of fasteners.

Re: trim clips
I was going to ask about these clips tonight - how do you save them?

Re: trim clips
You have to push or pull the middle pin out, and then you can ease them gently out of the panel. If you decide to push the middle pin in from the outside, then you will need a hand or something else on the inside to catch it, before it falls into an inaccessible crevice inside the car. The problem ones are the three along the top of the window as you cannot get a hand in the gap.Ryan wrote:I was going to ask about these clips tonight - how do you save them?

Re: trim clips
clips are now unobtanium. Save as many as you can, as they are reusable if you take care taking them off the car.

Re: trim clips
I have saved the clips but there was a few which I could not catch the plastic pin when I pushed them through. Might have to look into finding some sort of plastic pin to put back in the others. I tried the plastic pin out of the red clips but the are a little bit to small.
I looked on the http://www.bresco.com/ web site and could not find them but found lots of other clips and things that I will replace when refitting.
Spend a couple of hours last night looking through the internet for clips. If anyone does know of anywhere else that might sell them please let us know.
They are higher than the red clips but are for the same size hole. See my first photo.
Thanks to all for your help so far..

Re: trim clips
I sorted this problem out by finding something to fit in the hole, seems to work.
This is what I used, just cut the end off and fitted it in the hole. Pulled the clip when fitted on the car and the clip did not move.
I managed to save all but 8 of the pins so spaced them out so my bog job clips was not the only clips holding the trim.
Trim now fitted..
