Good evening,

Continuing the recommission of my Scirocco after a significant absence from the road, another question please?

Just a recap first, been a busy few weekends
Fuelling issue - resolved with new lift pump
Full service with Syntra oil (10w40)
New drive belt (Gates)
New timing belt and tensioner (Gates)
About to fit another new timing belt as there was some swarf at the bottom of the cover that took the writing off and was audible with the squeak; better safe than sorry!


Cold air intake. It’s looking it’s age now, and I have read a couple of earlier threads on the subject, but one question didn’t appear to be answered, or 2.

What is the diameter of the hose for another replacement solution?

What options are there, aside from main-beam delete as I rather like the 6 lamps front end ?

For what it is worth, I used heating ducting from the aux heater in my camper van. It is a little tight on the fit, but has worked OK for the last 2 years. It is like this stuff https://www.amazon.co.uk/Exhaust-Diamet ... B082KJLPVW 45mm or 60mm I believe, I would need to double check.
