Spotted this promotional video on the ROVR YouTube channel that might be of interest and was made in 1985 to introduce the 1986 model year range:

The link above begins where the new 1986 Scirocco GT is introduced, but the rest of the video is worth a watch.
So there we have it Mk2 GT owners with the bodykit - it's 'upmarket and expensive-looking'!
For any youngers viewers, the interviewer in the clip is Chris Goffey, who was a presenter on BBC Top Gear back in the days when it was a proper TV motoring magazine programme......
