Based on MOT history on the Gov website it was first registered on 16 October1980. The lack of any online MOT records means it was off the road for at least 15 years. The road tax history suggests it came back onto the road during 2021, quite likely changing hands in December 2021.

I went to look at it last February. It had just been repainted in the owners shed/garage.

When I looked at it, the exterior paint was a very different shade to the original paint (ie door jambs, inner bonnet, inner tailgate etc). There was a lot of overspray in the engine bay, and took a lot of starting (the fuel accumulator had been removed). It was taken down to bare metal and painted in a garage during winter. It made me nervous that it was a recipe for it to start rusting. It did however look fairly solid, and the interior looked OK.
