If I didn't fit Bilstein I think I'd probably go for Meyle - about the same price:

The Bilstein front springs are B3 36-131105, several sellers on ebay. These are the ones supplied (at much higher price) by VW Classic Parts as original equipment quality, equivalent to 171411105G953 (3 blue stripes). The rears are B3 36-155095.

Have you search ebay on the Bilstein part number 36-131105? At least two sellers claiming fast delivery. I bought mine from Deamon Tweaks on ebay - very good price.
