Yet more clutch cable fun

Post by Yandards »

I'm now onto my 3rd order for a clutch cable, late chassis mk 2 DX so the best I can do is the 1660mm one - went for Borg and Beck BKC1193.

Only snag is 2 of them that have arrived are not Scirocco clutch cables - about 2 meters long, wrong end fittings, no bulkhead fitting or kink.

Looks like some Muppet at Borg and Beck is getting 1139 and 1193 mixed up as its got 1139 on an identity sleeve on the cable which after some digging comes back as a Capri hand brake cable that's 2 meters long.

Beware anyone ordering a clutch cable!
