Wonder if anyone has found a non standard pump fitted when they go to renew an old one. The one I've found is about half the size of a standard pump. It has no part numbers. I wondered if it was special because of the turbo technics upgrade. But speaking to a helpful bloke from there shop ( last time I rang I felt like I got f'd off) but this bloke really knew his stuff told me exactly what has been done by them and that I need a normal 8v dx k jet standard pump. . Any idea where to get replacement mountings for the pump from as they look to have been changed?

You can buy new stainless steel pump mounting here and they do sell the foam if you need that as well.

Is the car running ok on the pump which is fitted?
If it is why change it?
If not you can buy new pumps.
Crazyquiff sell one or lots on ebay.
expensive type.

I've seen some people run a smaller size pump but as long as it's running at the right pressure you should be ok.

Re: Fuel pump 8v turbo
Thanks for the info. The pump was noisy when I switched on the ignition. It then cut out and wasn't doing anything or making noise when ignition was turned on, so I towed it home where it started first time.
I thought I'd change the pumps as it's only done about 300 miles in the last 11 years. It's currently running and driving whilst I find the correct bits but I can't trust it to do any real journeys until I get pumps sorted, which I think I can sort thanks to the links posted. Thanks

Re: Fuel pump 8v turbo
The relay is the common problem, they can over heat and cut out and once cooled the relay works fine.
You can bridge the 2 larger connections where the relay lives to get the pumps to run all the time or use the indicator relay in place of the fuel pump then the pumps will when the ignition is on. Doing this at least you know what’s at fault.
