Paint code information

Hi everyone,

I've been struggling to get a paint code for my Mk2. I believe there should be a label in the boot. I can see that something was once there, but it has been peeled off. I'm not sure if there are any other stickers elsewhere on the car, but I'm hoping that someone might just recognise the colour from my picture?

What year is it?

Looks like ether tornado red or Parprika.

Hi,

It's an early 1989, so manufactured in 1988. I tried a Halfords Tornado Red, but it was too much like a scarlet red when compared to the existing paint.

The only Red paint colour offered for the UK market in 1989 was Parprika Red paint code LK3A

If you have the original owner's handbook, it's also on a sticker inside the front cover.
