After some help if possible please guys.
I'm trying to find a switched live for my head unit, I've had a search and found that the best place was from the back of the fusebox where there are connectors sticking out (I believe they are labelled 'P' but can't get right behind to have a look)
The connectors on the left of both pictures below
I've tried all of these and they are all live with the ignition off?
Any ideas please?

i thought the switched lives were on the opposite side in a similar location. there is a cluster there. they will have black / yellow wires if memory serves correctly.
what type of fuse do you have blade or bullet?

Cheers for the reply dude.
Ah, didn't realise that. Blade fuses.
But, I had a cup of tea, had a think and decided to go off the heater switch live, fingers crossed.
Thanks again though

What Steve said - the opposite side to that in your picture will be a bunch of spade connectors. Look for a solid black wire - that will be a switched +ve as will be the the (hopefully free) connector next to it.

i have no idea why i didn't add a switched live to my stereo when i had the car in pieces! its really annoying not having one!
i saw a thing the other day where they used a relay and switch live for the headlights and tail lights to prevent accidentally draining the battery. good idea i thought.

There is a block of 8, plus 2 more slightly separated - they are labeled 'G'
