Never seen this before

Post by sabre0699 »

On German E Bay at the moment there is a 2.0 16v Scirocco for sale , nothing unusual you may say but have a look at the pictures .

It is fitted with a full digital dash the same as the mid eighties Ur Quattros and the Astra GTE, never seen one before and didn't even think it was an option in Germany

What he said. ^
Have seen a few come up for sale at around £600+ they only work with certain engines too. Although they can be "made" to work with others. Was tempted a while ago until I saw the price of a complete kit, you need more than just the dash to get it working if I remember correctly.

Yup, "Lady", Dirk's former US-16V has one of these.

You need a new tachometer sensor (instead of the usual tachometer cable) on the gearbox to deliver an electronic signal to the Digifiz.

They also stop working when the km-reading reaches 999999 km, but there are ways to reset the Digifiz, which only very few people can do.
