Re: Gearbox oil
I need some gearbox oil for my mk1 storm, anyone know what I should be buying? Thanks
Re: Gearbox oil
The key is that it should be GL4 spec. It is alleged that the more modern GL5 spec may damage the seals/bearings in older designs (google it).
Same as any oil, go for the best you can afford; since gearbox oil is only changed every 100k miles or so, makes sense to get good stuff.
I used Valvoline 75w-90 Full Synthetic Gear Oil (GL4) - which I managed to get from Eurocarparts (or was it GSF?).
Really made a difference on my car.
