Hi everyone, my new golf grille arrived today as I'm planning to get rid of the inner lamps on my Gt2 and cut the golf grill to suit.
Once I've cut it to the correct size what's the best way to go about securing it to front panel? The old grille has 3 clips that hold it on at the top but it looks as if I won't be able to reuse these and the bottom clips that are part of the grille aren't long enough and spaced differently from the scirocco grille. Would like a solution that doesn't involve mastic etc as I would like to be able to remove it again without too much hassle

Re: Mk2 golf grille conversion
Thanks
Sometimes i tend to overlook the simple ways! Was almost hatching a plan to make a hybrid grille. Cut the top and bottom off the scirocco grille and mate it onto the golf one

Nah cable ties are the way forward, you can get skinny little black ones from Maplin, they are about 3mm wide and about 100mm long, I string them together like a daisy chain to make them longer... Almost invisible when on the car! Half of the trim on my Audi is held on by them aha!
