Brake servo

Post by Kirky76 »

I have heard that a good up grade for the brakes is to fit a mk2 golf gti 16v brake servo and master cylinder, they seem to be hard to get hold of, does anyone know of one for sale or is there another upgrade to achieve greater braking feel and response.

Cheap upgrade is to adjust the rear shoes as the automatic adjuster does not always work very well, there is a few thread on here about doing it.
They do rely on the rear brakes working well to get good feel from the pedal. If your brake fluid is any more than 3 years old change it as that make alot of differance. Braided hoses help firm up the pedal.
Fitting a bigger servo only makes it less effort in pressing the pedal.
