Morello Magneti Rad Fan Help

Ok guys, one to get your teeth into. Looks like VW fitted the rarest radiator fan in the world to my rococo. It's a 6 bladed black Mirelli Magneti 2 pin plug fan. Now you can get 6 blade 3 pin fans and 4 blade 2 pin (but the plug is the wrong size- too big) for this 1986 GTX. Anyone come across this before? Otherwise a trip to VW maybe on the cards :(

i would go down the scrap yard and take a complete fan with loom from a golf or something as most of the actual fan parts are interchangeable.
its only the cowling thats unique to the car, all you have to do is cut your old plug off and fit the new one.
