Suspension/ hub help
Hi,
Basically as I'm refurbishing the suspension on my mk2 I've come across a bit of an issue.
I can get the actual hub carrier which connects to the strut/ track rod etc which is in picture 1 however I can't find the hub that the wheel actually bolts to which is the bit in picture 2.
Does anyone know where I might get them brand new?
Regards
Chris

Febi 6655 (or 06655)
You can find it on Amazon, ebay etc and elsewhere
I've used this seller many times for Febi parts

Re: Suspension/ hub help
Cool as long as they are not getting binned as they look alright to me, I guess you know you are missing the brake disc cover in your picture? You need to fit it before fitting the hub.Chris M GT wrote:Nothing mate I just want to get my car to the cleanest/ best it can possibly be within reason.mark1gls wrote:What's wrong with the old ones?

Ohhh sorry mate I see why you was wondering why I was replacing them now! That picture isn't my car it's off the internet as I needed it for an example, I'd be mad to change them if they looked like that already Hahamark1gls wrote:Cool as long as they are not getting binned as they look alright to me, I guess you know you are missing the brake disc cover in your picture? Re: Suspension/ hub help
Get some wickes patio cleaner and put the hub in a tub with enough patio cleaner to cover it up.
This stuff removes rust like no tomorrow, although it takes a few days to fully treat it.
Check out my resto thread if you want to see results.
Just remember this studs acidic so rinse it off thouroughly after and get it painted asap or it will rust up again very quickly
