the other side of the club - the people thing

Post by GTXTRA »

Had the pleasure of meeting Dave aka 'unknownmale' this afternoon - ostensibly to pick up a seat belt buckle.

Three and a half hours later - several pints of guinness and 'hells' later - a bit of rocco chat, lots of real life chat and he met one of my very best (non car) mates from the USA at the same time.

New member of the London drinking collective/social confirmed - A good days work.

Cheers Dave.

Hear, hear!

Its the people you come across whilst Scirocco'ing that were another draw back to the Scirocco scene

Had a good chat and a brew with Jim Butler when he came over to grab some bits last night 8-)

Thanks again Jon for the parts you are a life saver and was great to chat with you about like minded rocco related stuff.
And to see that beast you have in the flesh. Look forward to seeing that on the road.
I haven't been on another forum or part of a club that is as friendly as this one.
Good bunch of people with a good variety of roccos in different formats.
Standard concours
Dailys
Track rats
And the insane modders.
Also the fact people will travel to help fellows out is great as you just don't really get that with other groups.

I appreciate I haven't been as involved as say 5 plus years ago but its good to see the class doesn't change and always found 'rocco'ers the best bunch!
:good: thumbs up to the club and will see you all old and new sometime soon!

It's still, by a long way, the finest club I've ever been part of.
The cars generally come second and it's much more about the comraderie, the general two fingered salute to what can sometimes be a rather odd hobby. Stepping back hasn't really killed the passion
