Hi ,,my 1987 gt has developed the following issue.
It has been running rough for a while quite lumpy with a misfire for the first 20 minutes or so then was running fine.
I don't use the car every day but tonight I started it up and left it ticking over for a few minutes and it was revving with a bit of a misfire through the Rev range,,I then turned off the engine and tried to start it ten minutes later and it was turning over but wouldn't start then a loud bang came from the exhaust and a spark from some where near the carb.
Now when I try and start it the car just turns over till I get the spark coming from the engine and/ or a loud bang from the exhaust.
Car is running standard carb and a jetex stainless exhaust.
my initial thought was a fueling problem but I'm not that great with engines.
Any ideas guys????

Try pulling each plug, attach it to the lead and hold it close to the block when turning over to check you're getting a good spark in each cylinder?
