Scirocco National 2015

Post by Mr Funk »

I know, bonkers isn't it?

But it's that time of the year where we need input ready for us to put another superb weekend together.

We can't keep everyone happy but we do try and accommodate as many as we can.

For the next couple of weeks (work dependant) it's your chance to let us know anything you think we need to hear for next year:
Venues
Camp site/hotel
Dates
Any ideas will be considered. To be honest, we think we've got it pretty much sorted but it's always good to get a fresh perspective.

The "theme" for want of a better word is The Rocco Mafia.

In 2005 a shadowy group of men and women met in a pub somewhere in kent.
The rest is (partly made up) history.
In 2015 Families from all over Europe will decend for a very special birthday

If people were happy with the hotel (I heard no complaints!), and the venue is Cosford again, then I will arrange the same hotel once the date is set.

Some sort of drive out would be good. I still remember the scared looking natives as the mafia drove through Ashford

I think the venue is spot on as was the camping (first time for me this year).

I think the only thing that could be improved on is making sure everyone knows who everyone is, ie car/forum name/real name. This is something I'll be looking into getting sorted for next year :)

There's still a lot going on in the background and we think we're sorted for dates, venue and a possible change of campsite.

Obviously, with events of the last week our focus may well change to reflect but it'll still be everything you'd expect.

More info to follow.

DIARY ALERT - NATIONAL MEET 8th AUGUST 2015

Post by GTXTRA »

OK - I've just got the 8th August pencilled in for the 2015 National at RAF Cosford. Paperwork being completed this week.

More details to follow in the New Year but this just to let people plan around this date as appropriate.

Booking acknowledged by Cosford - it's a definite goer.
