Afternoon all,
I have finally got round to sorting my sunroof slide sunroof, so it sits straight and opens and shuts as it should without dragging.
It doesnt leak however due to the previous sealing up the roof with sealant the seals are destroyed.
I have removed the sunroof headliner ( Need a new one as was wrecked) and can now see daylight.
I have bought a new seal from VW heritage but just need some tips on how to fit please.
It does not tilt it is only a slide sunroof.
Thanks in advance

Re: Mk2 Sunroof Seal replacement
Strange that your sunroof doesn't tilt as well as slide as all factory fit Scirocco sunroofs did? Are the guides broken? Anyway, to fit the new seal you will have to remove the sunroof panel, it is a ball ache of a job and much easier with an assistant. If you have access to VAGCAT, go to the sunroof section and print off the page as it shows all the screws /bolts etc. Refitting is just the reverse.

Re: Mk2 Sunroof Seal replacement
Alternative to vagcat is partsbase (link in my sig I think. Doesn't have as many outages as vagcat seems to
Sucking eggs and all, but you do known the seal doesn't stop water, it just cuts out wind noise? Water goes down the drain hoses and out into the wheel arch
