I posted a while back re my gtx after being stood for 16 years spluttering out after about 5 mins. After garaging it for the winter I've now managed to clean out the gunked up tank, sort filler neck, that didn't seem bad, put in a new lift pump, new fuel filter, injector seals and jiggled the mix as it was too rich. The car previously ran fine when cold start was kicked in but chugged out when it clicked off. She now ticks over a treat even when cold start clicks out but when you give her some power (stationary) it's just chugging as if there's not enough fuel getting through.
New fuel injection pump?
Air auxiliary valve?
I've temporarily repaired a section of fuel pipe with braided rubber, could this be causing pressure loss? ( soon to replace line).
I'm no mechanic as advice taken from friends but is there on here who knows specifically about this type of gtx issue can help.
My car is mint and had her for 20 months now and done 30 miles! Frustrated!!!!

Where are you based mate? It could be a metering head issue, the plungers have been known to stick especially on cars that haven't run regular.

Have you access to a spare main fuel pump to try? The accumultor could be past its best?
This is a good source, have a look at the website.

Re: Fuel issue! Help!
I've managed to change the aux air valve and it seems to have fixed the problem. Just need to reset it all now as running a bit more regular.
Let's hope it's solved and can get it to some meets.
