Any unusual engines sitting in 'roccos?

Post by Boumsong »

I'm just curious.

My 8v has just hit 225,000 miles and needs a freshen up. I've done an KR/ABF conversions in the past. So I'm not really interested in those and I'm not sold on a turbo engine being in keeping with the character of a scirocco. Are there any other engines sitting in sciroccos anywhere?

I have a 9A engine from a Passat is, also comes in a Corrado .

Is an 2ltr engine and I rebuild it in my 16V with all the original parts apart from the block.

Not really unusual but I will be putting a 1.8t in at some point this year. A few others have and are in the process of doing the same.
Have seen a couple of vr6's and thought about a v5 a while ago too.

The 1.8t I have in my mk2 certainly hasn't taken any of the charm away! It's added some if anything!

The instant torque and engine note is lovely.
