Strange one, the rev counter needle doesn't climb above 4500 rpm. It behaves normally under 4500, but when the engine speed passes that point, the needle stays static at 4500, and only drops back down when the engine speed falls below that point again. It's a VDO instrument not Motometer.
Has anyone experienced similar tacho problems and what fixed it?
I am thinking could it be due to a bad ground from the instruments? There is no misfiring or anything so I don't suspect the coil etc
