Of course, you just have to find the LEDs with the right voltage and fitting.

Or make something yourself if you can.

You don't usually get a choice of fitting with LEDs, typically there are two bare solid leads, one longer than the other to distinguish the anode (positive) from the cathode (negative).

Typical LED voltages are in the range 1.8 - 4V, red and yellow fall at the lower end, green in the middle and white at the upper end.

To avoid damage, you need to use a series resistor to limit the current ie if you connect a 12V supply to an LED with a 2V voltage drop it will burn out in moments.

Yes , I had some from ebay a couple of years back, there was even a choice of colour. Had to fit the wire ends of the leds into the bulb holders, its a pain getting the polarity right. Must admit the were disappointing, replaced with std bulbs after a couple of weeks.
