Scirocco Register

Hey guys.

As some of your know I've finally got round the starting the Rocco and it appears that's the wiring has seen a lot better day, if possible could somebody take some pictures for me? Or shed some light on how these would be wired.

The rear lighting loom as pictured

Yeah I know there's a lot there, but I don't know what's right and what's wrong anymore lol.

Some images of what I found

Those blue things are known as scotchloks, and are the work of Satan. If that's the rear lights, i'm guessing it has (or had) a towbar fitted. They should be removed and replaced with a decent joint. Solder and heatshrink for preference.

Yeah that's the plan, but there cables broken in paces and just random shite that's why I want a decent picture what it should be like to follow lol

To be honest a picture or two isn't going to help you - you really need someone with a mk2 to come to you.

Failing that, the very least you need to do is get hold of a Haynes manual with the relevant wiring diagrams - so you know if everything that should be there is there.

Yeah I've got the Haynes but never enjoyed following them things lol

Is the car driveable?

nah not at the moment mate, Ill just go though the Haynes manual and make sense of it, seems like its going to be the easiest option

I may have some spare time next weekend mate, give me a shout if you need a hand as you are only 10 or so miles down the road.
