hello all,
I'm a newbie to this forum and have just finished my introductions on the introduce yourself thread and now I am in need of some some fellow rocco lovers advice. As I'm sure many of you know the clutch cable on RHD drive cars is prone to rupture the bulk head. Mine did and is now sorted with a new plate welded in, however for some time before it did, the cable was rubbing against a hose coming from the auxiliary air valve to the top of the (not too sure what it's called) manifold thingy. This pipe (see attached photo) is perilously thin in some spots and I want to replace it as soon as possible. However ,despite my best efforts and hours spent on the 'tinter web I have been unable to find one that fits. One end (the valve end) has a larger diameter opening than the other. She is prone to idle at about 1100 rpm until driven for over 30 minutes or so as well where she settles at 900. I would very much appreciate any info.http://www.sciroccoregisterforum.co.uk/ ... =post&f=12#

Mk1 Golf cabriolets had these as well, DX engined ones. You could enquire at your local VW dealer, they may still sell them if not the usual places are GSF, Euro Car Parts, VW heritage, Volkspares and also a wanted ad on this forum.
